Rye, Flax and Whole Wheat Pasta Noodle Recipe

Rye, Flax and Whole Wheat Pasta Noodles

1 cup old fashioned rye flour

1/3 cup milled golden flaxseed

2/3 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup unbleached white flour

1 1/2 tsp sea salt

4 eggs

3 tbsp water

Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.  Add in wet ingredients, mix well.  Knead dough for about 6 minutes.  Cover in seran wrap and let pasta dough rest for 20 minutes (or so).  Use pasta machine and make your favorite pasta…spaghetti, fettuccine, ravioli…which ever rocks your boat.  You can also roll out by hand if you chose too.  ENJOY!

      • I actually went the non-sauce route. What I did was took a medium yellow onion and chopped it up and cooked it with about a pound of salsiccia sausage. Once that was cooked pretty well I added in some sweet peppers (yellow, red & orange) I also added a little sea salt, fresh black pepper, garlic powder and parsley. When my pasta was cooked I added some chopped organic baby spinach to the meat mixture, the pasta and some feta cheese and tossed it all together.

      • Nice idea to go the dry route. Very good combo. Yumm. I haven’t had lunch yet and you are making me hungry…
